the debate

by Blue-Eyed Bride on October 2, 2008

I’m so uncomfortable watching the debate I could die! Be forewarned: I won’t be commenting on any VP debate-related blog posts tonight or tomorrow. I’m exhausted after listening to this. My husband laughed uncontrollably ninety percent of the time we watched this.

At least Sarah Palin’s outfit was fantastic.

ETA: I thought that SP did a fine job. In the beginning I was frustrated because I felt like he was on the offensive and she was on the defensive. That quickly changed. I was uncomfortable because I was so nervous for her going into to the debate and then I was uncomfortable because every time she said a cute little expression, my husband would crack up laughing. All is well because according to pretty much every major news network, she won!

Just focus on Sarah’s shoes and how fabulous they were! That’s my only comment. ;)

As curious as I am, I’m kinda glad I’m in another part of the world and managed to miss all coverage of it. My vote has already been cast anyhow (absentee style!), so it wouldn’t have changed my mind :)

I was uncomfortable to, I didn’t like when she kept winking at me…

I’m glad to hear that others were uncomfortable because that’s exactly how I felt! In fact, I could only bring myself to watch a portion of it.

I wasn’t able to catch much of it because of a work commitment, but caught a tiny bit in the middle (while sitting next to 2 staunch Dem coworkers, intimidating!)

I’m so happy to hear your point of view on it, thank you for sharing!

I was really nervous too, but I really thought palin did excellent under the circumstances.

Really?? Everything I’ve read has said that Biden won the debate. She needs to stop using her womanly wiles, “oh gosh, golly gee” and winking at the camera. What a joke. Sorry, had to say it! :) Was she flirting with me? Very uncomfortable, I must say.

I really enjoyed the debate. I thought both Palin and Biden did a great job! I love Sarah’s outfit!!
Also, I found the same thing about her winning on most networks. I know there were two that said Biden won, but on one of the most respected over one million people casted votes and said Palin won 86% to Biden’s 13%. However, there is still a long road ahead in this election so one debate outcome is not going to be the key to securing a win.
