I love giving gifts and picking things out for the special people in my life. We’re not really exchanging gifts with extended family this year. Todd and I are getting some memorable gifts for Hudson’s first Christmas and we’re exchanging presents with each other.
But there are a few friends and other people in my life with whom I am exchanging gifts. So here is my guide for 2009 Christmas shopping.
Louis Vuitton: Art, Fashion, and Architecture - $53.55 on Amazon.com

This book is a whopping 400 pages. It features all of the Louis Vuitton collaborations with artists, designers, architects, and photographers. And look how pretty the book is! If I walked into a house and that book was sitting on the coffee table, I’d immediately pick it up.
A Blurb Book- starting prices range anywhere from $12.95 to $74.95
During these hard and uncertain economic times, quality is better than quantity. And what makes a more quality gift that one that comes from the heart? We made a Blurb book of Hudson’s birth day and will make one for every birthday he has until it becomes painfully obvious that he’s too old to have his mommy at his birthday parties.

I am obsessed with these candles. I have them all over my house now, thanks to my mom. I found them at The Paris Market and Brocante in Savannah while we were there for our anniversary. I think the best part is that the candles are actually made in Savannah. They are packaged so beautifully and every single one of the smells is delicious.
You can choose from scents including Savannah, Charleston, Gullah, High Cotton, Sea Grass, and Spanish Moss. They also have a Limited Edition New Orleans scent.
My personal favorite is High Cotton.

Sophie the Giraffe
Hudson loves his Sophie. She is the best teething toy around, but she’s also kind of a collector’s item. Sophie the Giraffe (not our particular Sophie) has been around since 1961 and she comes in an adorable box. Click here to read the story of Sophie.

Y’all know I love my MomAgenda. As the year ends and the new year approaches, all the ladies need a new calendar. I am lost without my MomAgenda. Again, if your gift recipient isn’t a mom, get her a MyAgenda. And if you don’t have a gift recipient that could use this, just get one for yourself. We can buy for ourselves at Christmas, right?
No? We can’t? Oh well.
Just click here to find out more about the MomAgenda and the MyAgenda.
And stay tuned. At least two of these items will be featured in my Favorite Things Giveaway later this month!
These are all items that I’m giving someone in my life this year. What are you giving the people you love?
(And I asked Todd for a specific pair of earrings, the Violet Hunter Wellies, and a Garmin.)

Great ideas. I didn’t know the LV book was 400 pages. Wow! I’d love to see it. I’ve got to get my MomAgenda ASAP.
Oooh, which earrings? I am thinking of getting a pair of diamond studs. The Violet Hunter Wellies sound like a practical cute gift. Who doesn’t love a good pair of shoes!
I looooove my MyAgenda
Great gift for any one!
Those candles look beautiful!! Do they burn cleanly and most importantly evently- all the way down without “tunneling”?
I think I need a MyAgenda–if not from someone else then as my gift to myself!
Great gift ideas!
Yay for earrings! That LV book looks amazing–and that’s just from the outside. I am also intrigued by the candles–I have a slight candle obsession… And is this Garmin you’re asking for a car GPS or the running GPS? Just curious…
PS. Thanks for the lovely comments on my marathon post–you’re so sweet!!
I just bought a MyAgenda & I love it. It’s a nice silver color
You just gave me a really good idea for a gift for my sister. We are keeping our gifts on the rather lower priced side and a blurb book of our Vegas vacation would be a great idea!!! Thanks!
Do you know if the Mom Agenda starts in January or is it a July-Dec. of the following year calendar? After looking on their site a few months ago when you mentioned it, I thought it was the latter… Happy Dec.!
GREAT gift guide!!! I love Luxe candles!!
I posted our pic today
What a nice post, thanks so much for your kind words about momAgenda and myAgenda! We hope everyone who wants one will get one for the holidays this year! -Nina Restieri, President, momAgenda
LOVE the blurb book, I will have to check it out, and stupid question on the Wellies, but do you wear those in place of shoes, or do you put them on, then change into your shoes??
Those candles look great! And, since I am pretty close to Savannah, I will have to hop on over there to get one. I also love the MomAgenda. I have been using mine for three or four years now, and it keeps me in line!
I must check out this Sophie when we have our little bundle of joy. I hear so many great things about it!
this year i am trying to buy all handmade items…but it is getting hard since I am seeing so many other things i want to buy. that little giraffe is adorable and those candles look like a wonderful gift. thanks for sharing your great finds:-)
Josiah has Sophie the Giraffe too and LOVES it! It was his first Christmas present (that he got early) this year! At first glance it’s definitely a toy I wouldn’t expect to be so great, but it’s wonderful! And random… but it’s featured on “3 Men and a Baby!” When my mom saw it at our house, she made me pull out the movie because she recognized it from there!
Merry Christmas!
I love your ideas!! I am having a baby in May and would love to get a Sophie. How do you purchase one?? I couldn’t see any place to purchase it on the website!!
I love the low country luxe candles!! And High Cotton happens to be my favorite as well
My Garmin (Beverly) and I have a love/hate relationship. She’s a crackhead nutbag sometimes but she always seems to know when I’m super lost and reallyreally need her like NOW. I hope you get one and love her!
My husband just got me a MyAgenda for Christmas and I love it! It’s such a great gift!!
