my spring time fantasy wish list

by Blue-Eyed Bride on March 24, 2010

I’ve got an exciting day as I await the arrival of this bride-to-be and this super fantastic friend of mine. I’m stumped for a good, thought-provoking post. So in the spirit of contentment, I thought I’d make a virtual list of the items I’m lusting over right now.

Le Creuset Round Dutch Oven, 5 1/2 qt in Citron

Picture 1All Clad Stainless Steel Multi Pot with Mesh Inserts, 12-qt

Picture 2

Louis Vuitton Stresa Azur GM

Picture 3Saks Fifth Avenue Dallas Snow Globe (which happens to be unavailable now)– I have these globes for 4 other cities and love them, but I’d love to have the Dallas globe. Big Tex is even in there!

Picture 4

The Pioneer Woman Cooks- I’m tired of print recipes off the computer. I need to break down and buy the cookbook.

Picture 5

What’s on your fantasy wish list right now? Shoes? Bags? Cookware? Vacation?

I have heard you can find le cruset items at TJ Maxx and Marshalls, but have yet to looks! And the PW cookbook is amazing. I use it all the time.

2 Samma March 24, 2010 at 9:18 am

Are you flexible on Le Creuset color at all? I stalk TJMaxx to add to my collection. I can grab you one when I see it, then finally come visit to deliver! Probably be cheaper for a tank of gas then to ship it- those thigns are heavy as lead!

3 Samma March 24, 2010 at 9:19 am

Sorry “things”. Sun is shining (yay!) on my computer screen and the glare is making it impossible to read.

4 candace March 24, 2010 at 9:21 am

I am a Dallas girl and ADORE that snow globe! What a great find.

10 Julie (brown eyed belle) March 24, 2010 at 9:55 am

I love the color of that dutch oven! So pretty and springy!! And that LV bag??! I die!

11 Adrienne March 24, 2010 at 9:55 am

What a wonderful list! At this point with the car in the shop, my spring wishful thinking has been blown. But I do love LV and cherish the bag I do have! I love all the clothes I have seen in the new Talbots and Land’s End Canvas. Have a wonderful time in Charleston with the girls!

12 Jill March 24, 2010 at 9:56 am

I love it! What a great list!

13 Ris March 24, 2010 at 10:13 am

That snowglobe is awesome! I wonder if they have one for Austin

14 Caroline March 24, 2010 at 10:17 am

Loving the Le Creuset! I would love an entire set. And a new wardrobe while we’re at it :-)

15 CAWife March 24, 2010 at 10:23 am

Looks like a fab spring wish list to me! We have Le Creuset is Citron, and I’m always stalking new pieces to add to our collection, it’s just so pretty. Looks like TJMaxx might be the place to start lookin. I too have the PW cookbook on my wishlist, I’ve heard such wonderful things about it! : )

16 Sole Matters March 24, 2010 at 10:31 am

One of my friends has the Louis Vuitton. Not that specific bag, but same coloring. It IS pretty amazing!

17 Sara March 24, 2010 at 10:31 am

My wish list is embarassing. I need a good dose of contentment! I will say I received the All-Clad pot as a Christmas gift (it was on my wish list) and it’s HUGE! I haven’t even used it it’s so big. Just some food for thought for you.

18 RLR March 24, 2010 at 10:53 am

I need a dutch oven, too. We have all sorts of Calphalon pots and pans, but no dutch oven. I have a gift card to Williams-Sonoma, perhaps I should put it to use….

Also – I have PW’s cookbook, and I have to admit that I prefer the printouts from her blog and from Tasty Kitchen. The photos and recipes are written in columns instead of across the page, so I don’t think it’s as easy to read as printing it out yourself. And, if you haven’t tried Marlboro Man’s Favorite Sandwich – wow! So quick and easy – we add cheese, and will add mushrooms next time – but it’s definitely not for everyday. Lots of butter!

Have a great visit with Nina and MM!

19 ChubbyNewlywed March 24, 2010 at 11:13 am

I have the 6.5 round Dutch oven in flame and it’s my prized kitchen possession! If you’re in a larger city, definitely check Craigslist for Le Creuset. There are almost always postings in my city for new or almost-new Le Creuset pieces. People register for them because they look gorgeous but then they have no idea how to cook with them. Their loss = your gain.

20 A Southern Accent March 24, 2010 at 11:51 am

Love Le Creuset, yes TJ Maxx is a great place to find them! I’m really wanting a new figure for the summer. Know anywhere I can pick that up?

Also, just picked up some new Tory Burch flip flops that I’m excited about. Still need some new spring tops and not really finding anything I’m loving yet.

I really want these clogs, because I just love clogs, and I hate giving them up in Spring. These would work great for work: http://www.zappos.com/product/7619885/color/3

21 Legally Fabulous March 24, 2010 at 12:03 pm

I have the Dallas snowglobe! My mom and I were in Saks shopping the summer before I left for law school and knew I had to have it to take to Chicago with me!
It sits in my entertainment center and I love it!

22 Sherrie March 24, 2010 at 12:47 pm

I started my Le Crueset collection this past Christmas. I have the 7 qt dutch oven and the cocotte. I have red, but really wanted to get white for the dutch oven. I had so much $ in WS giftcards and they do not carry the white.

All of our pots and pans are All-Clad and I absolutely love them. We have the pasta pentola and use it all the time for cooking any sort of pasta.

Tell Mojito Maven she is missed! Have fun. :)

23 Alicia March 24, 2010 at 12:50 pm

I need that snow globe! I’m a born and raised Dallas girl and just need that globe! My desires…Antropologie right now. They have some super cute tanks that I want!

24 Kate March 24, 2010 at 2:14 pm

Just bought the PW cookbook yesterday!!! I probably have about 70% of the recipes already bookmarked on my computer… but you just can’t beat owning the book and have it sitting pretty on your shelf!

25 amanda jones March 24, 2010 at 3:00 pm

Just like RLR said above the cook is a little hard to read at first. Once you get the hang of how it reads its a blast to cook out of. But I will admit first time I used it I almost had a big mess because I did not read it right :) Great list!

26 cyndi March 24, 2010 at 3:43 pm

My current fantasy wish list includes going to Charleston with y’all, TB Reva’s, a new spring wardrobe, and loads of fun + colorful jewelry. Quite honestly I could go on and on but I’ll stop there for now.

Have a blast on your trip!!!!

27 Becky March 24, 2010 at 3:45 pm

What a fun, great idea for a blog post! I’m going to assemble my spring list and post it soon. By the way, come visit my new blog — going private was such a pain so I have a public blog again.

28 Tara March 24, 2010 at 5:53 pm

Love Le Creuset as well. Check out my blog – I have listed my ultimate spring wish list, thanks to your inspiration ;) Love your blog!

29 Tootie March 24, 2010 at 7:08 pm

I got the PW cookbook for Christmas, and it is wonderful! One of my favorite recipes is for the potato skins – yum!

30 Megan March 24, 2010 at 7:14 pm

great lust items :) I need to get the PW cookbook too!

talk MM into a blog return :)

31 Miss M! March 24, 2010 at 8:03 pm

I have the multipot, but not the one with the mesh inserts because that mesh is a pain to clean! It’s an awesome pot, I love it so much. It is huge though, as another poster noted, so it’s tricky to find a place to store it. All my pots and pans are All Clad, except for one cheapy Kitchen Aid teflon pan I use to scramble eggs. Teflon is so bad. I even have a couple of the new D5 pieces – they’re awesome!

You have to get P-Dub’s cookbook – she’s never steered me wrong. It’s definitely worth spending the money on a copy. I went to her book signing and she autographed mine. :)

I’ve been lusting after a Le Creuset french oven for a while now. I can’t decide if I want green or red though. I think I’m going to get the 7 qt size so I can use it to make Jim Lahey’s no-knead bread. The do have them at TJ Maxx sometimes, but they’re usually factory seconds.

32 Desiree March 24, 2010 at 8:12 pm

I’m really wanting a pair of tb revas, but unfortunately can’t afford them…le sigh.

33 Kelli March 24, 2010 at 8:48 pm

I really want the Pioneer Woman cook book too! I’m also itching to buy some new heels to go with the two dresses I bought recently! Have a fun trip to Charleston!

34 Gretchen March 24, 2010 at 10:37 pm

I got the PW cookbook for Christmas, I love it…mainly because it looks cute on my cookbook stand. I still use the computer when I look up a recipe :)

35 Tam March 25, 2010 at 1:32 am

i need that dallas snow globe! if you’re in dallas, head up north to allen to the le creuset outlet store….AMAZING deals to be had there!

36 Tiffany March 25, 2010 at 9:14 pm

I’d love that snow globe for Chicago! I’d probably get a Paris and San Francisco one if they still sold them as well.

37 Chelle March 26, 2010 at 6:29 pm

I LOVE PW’s cookbook! It is definitely worth it. The cinnamon rolls are AMAZING (I think that’s one of the recipes in the cookbook that is also on the web site)

38 breadwinner wife March 27, 2010 at 1:01 am

I REALLY want the Pioneer Woman cookbook! Bad!!

39 lizziefitz March 27, 2010 at 10:13 am

Am I too late? Cafe Cluny in the west village:) Have fun.

40 Lauren @ Adventures of a Southern Newlywed March 28, 2010 at 9:57 am

You NEED that Le Creuset! I use mine all the time and love it! They are an investment, but they are worth every cent. Food just does so much better in an enameled cast iron pot. I don’t know what it is? They also have a lifetime warranty which is great.

I have the All Clad Stainless multi pot. I use it mainly for low country seafood boils. It works perfectly for that. I do really like it, but I don’t use it as much as my Le Creuset pieces.

Anyway, that’s my two cents! I hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

41 Patricia Kozack March 29, 2010 at 9:08 am

My MIL bought me the Yellow LeCreuset. I have to say that I absolutely LOVE it. Plus, it’s a great Spring color.
I too want the multi pot. I feel I will be able to do so much with it.

42 Manden Matz March 30, 2010 at 10:48 am
