Okay, y’all! I have been so, so, so very excited about this giveaway for a long time now. You can all get mad at me for holding out on you for the last six months.
Because I have now experienced the greatest vacuum cleaner! The Oreck Magnesium is the greatest addition to our home in 2012. It’s a good thing Hayes was born in 2011. (Just kidding)
The Magnesium is light weight and slim. And it is an Oreck.
What can I say about Oreck? I have been a loyal Oreck user for seven years now. I will never, ever buy a different brand of vacuum cleaner. I purchased a refurbished Oreck from the Oreck store when I moved into my second post-grad apartment. I never had a single problem with that vacuum cleaner.
And when Oreck sent me the Magnesium to review, I jumped at the chance.
I love how sleek it is.
It is powerful. It cleans my floors and rugs better than any vacuum cleaner I’ve ever had. It is gentle enough for my nicest rugs and is low enough for hardwoods.
You would not believe how lightweight it is! It weighs just over 7 pounds. I can haul it all over my house, up and down stairs, and never get tired.
It has 102 miles per hour of airflow! There is so much power that it feels like it is self propelled on most surfaces!
And it lays virtually flat to get under the lowest furniture. The LED lights on the front of the Magnesium make it easy to see under furniture where it’s dark.
The cord stretches across four rooms in my house. I only have to unplug it and plug it back in twice to get my whole house cleaned. It’s really incredible!
My favorite thing about all Orecks? The bags. I love vacuum bags. They seal so tight and contain all of the mess so neatly. I love that when my bag is full, I can switch it out without the risk of spilling all of the dust, dog hair, and crumbs all over my floor like so often happens with canister vacuums.

I need one of these so badly! I am one of those people that have a hard time spending lots of money on a vacuum, even though I know I should. My favorite part about this model is the fact that it can lay flat on the ground to get the dog hair and fuzz-balls out from under the couch! Thank you for the opportunity

Magnesium is the lightest upright in America!
I love that it can lay flat to get the dog hair under furniture. And since it is the lightest vacuum I shouldn’t have a problem toting it all over the house. I also signed up for their emails and foliow them on twitter.
